How to play Blackjack online

Online blackjack is no different from land blackjack. The primary aim of the game is to beat the dealer by getting a Black Jack playing cardshand of cards that add up to more than the dealer’s total or adds to less than twenty-one when the card dealer’s total is greater than your sum. If the sum of cards adds up to over twenty-one it’s termed as ‘busting’ and you lose the game.

The primary rule is to know the value of each card before you begin playing. The value of picture cards is ten, while ace values one or eleven. Suits don’t get any importance in blackjack and the sum of a hand is the total value of the cards. When the sum is lower than 21, the ace is valued 11. If the sum is over 21, the ace is valued at one. Ace with value of 11 is considered a soft hand; ace with a value of one is considered a hard hand.

Before you begin playing blackjack online, you will have to cash your money in for chips. The dealer will give all the player the chips and then all players including you will place bets on the table. Every player will be dealt two cards and one card of the dealer will be open for all players, while the 2nd card will remain hidden. As a player, your cards are either hidden, shown, or a combination of these.

If you are unhappy with you card, you can hit and the dealer will give you another card. If you are happy with your hand, you can motion this to the dealer by waving your hand over the cards. If you have two similar cards then you can divide the pair and get the chance to make another bet equal to the first bet you made, and this allows you to play twice.
