I just saw a news article on the net about the Tory plan, saying it was going to change the dangerous gambling act , wow, you can read more about it here, Supposedly because gambling addictions are up 25%. They don’t say from what year but that the gambling addictions are up . How do I or should others see this , I guess it can be very simple , yes gambling can be dangerous , but so can putting 25,000.00 Dollars in to my sons bank account and let him go on a spending spree.

Its a shame that because the carelessness and recklessness of a few has to affect so many. I love to gamble , it relieves my stress,  some times I win lots, sometimes I lose. But I do know going in to it , that its called gambling and its a game of chance, I’m really happy when I win and not so happy when I lose.

So should we go one step  further and impose these restrictions on the World stock markets, after all isn’t the stock market a form of gambling. I have seen more people lose their life savings in the stock market than I ever have seen from someone gambling. I think that people have gotten overly enthusiastic about what governments should and shouldn’t do.  Controlling the general population we say ? A compulsive person is a compulsive person , not only with gambling but overspending , over cleaning , drinking or anything else compulsive , just some peoples compulsiveness targets different things, in my case I don’t consider myself compulsive, but I do enjoy my beer and I do enjoy my casinos so when a little extra cash permits you bet I’m gonna gamble I said a little extra cash , that means not spending the grocery money .

Maybe they can restrict certain countries from online gambling and entertainment , as they have tried to do in the past, but gambling has been around for many years and it is just another form of entertainment, those with compulsiveness need to take responsibility of themselves so that the rest of us can live our lives with the freedom of our  choices not freedom our governments try to impose.
